Camogie Blitz!
Well done to all the girls and Ms. Kelleher who took part in the Camogie blitz in Nemo last week. All the girls played so well, it’s brilliant to see such a passion and love of the sport from the girls!

Maths Week 2022
The whole school had an amazing Maths Week 2022 from the 17th to the 21st of October! From going on Maths Trails, to Maths buddies and Maths Quizzes to Maths Art, we had an extremely busy week!

Blitz at the Barrs October 2022
Well done to all involved and for all the support during our Barrs Blitz last Friday, 9th of October. All the girls did the school so proud and no doubt they had a great time. Thanks to everyone for making the day so great for them especially Ms. Kelleher and Ms. Stack for training sessions.

Our School Choir
4th class are very excited to partake in choir sessions this year along with their teachers Ms. Daly, Ms. Olsthoorn, Mr. Fulham and Ms. Crowley. They can’t wait for you to watch them perform!

Junior/Senior Infants working so hard!
Ms. Driscoll’s Junior and Senior infants have been working so hard since they have started school. They have been working on their cutting skills, painting, Maths sorting and learning lots of rhymes. Well done girls!

Lord Mayor Visit 2022
We were delighted to have the Lord Mayor Deirdre Forde visit our school on Monday the 12th of September 2022. The girls sang beautiful songs to her and we gave her some gifts of poetry and artwork reflecting the diverse talents within our school community.

5th Class Visit Togher Community Garden
Ms. Crowley’s 5th class had a lovely morning on Thursday the 19th of May visiting the community garden. Many thanks to Sandra and Ray for meeting with them. We planted sunflower seeds and Cosmos. We look forward to transplanting them in a few weeks.

Senior infants go planting!

Lifetime Lab Workshop
Fourth and fifth classes took part in a science workshop with Una from the Lifetime Lab, called House of Circuits. They had great fun building electrical circuits and they investigated if a variety of materials were conductors or insulators. Afterwards, they made a labelled diagram of how their circuit worked. They thoroughly enjoyed it.

Saturday, the 11th of September marked the 20th Anniversary of 9/11. 6th class students learned about the timeline of events on this day and focused in particular on the heroes and first responders who risked their lives to save as many people as possible in New York.

3rd – 5th Class Celebrate Advent
Advent is time of preparation and waiting for the birth of Jesus. The candles on the Advent wreath symbolize hope, love, joy and peace. A candle is lit every Sunday for the month of Advent until Christmas Day.
